February Beers Are Going Dark
For Boulder’s Mountain Sun pubs, February is a time to celebrate the stout.
“Taps at all four Mountain Sun pubs — Mountain Sun, Southern Sun and Under the Sun Eatery and Taphouse in Boulder, along with Vine Street Pub and Brewery in Denver — will give in to the dark side throughout February for the brewpub’s annual Stout Month celebration.”

The review — conducted at CU’s request by the American Philosophical Association’s Committee on the Status of Women Site Visit Program — comes just days after the university released a report showing the Boulder campus is meeting the legal requirements under Title IX, the federal gender equity and non-discrimination law.

Nepalese cuisine that’s battle-tested

While the term Gurkha originally referred to a group of indigenous Nepalese people, it also has become synonymous with that mountain nation’s legendary soldiers enlisted in the British and Indian armies. One Indian Army chief of staff once said of these warriors’ considerable valor, “If a man says he is not afraid of dying, he is either lying or is a Gurkha.”
